Our Montessori Approach to Early Childhood Education

Everbloom Montessori is a nonprofit Montessori school in Grand Rapids serving children from infancy through age six. Our approach to early childhood education is grounded in authentic Montessori philosophy and designed to support independence, concentration, and whole-child development.

We believe the first six years of life are foundational. During this period, children develop cognitive skills, social awareness, emotional regulation, and confidence that shape lifelong learning. Our Montessori education model respects each child’s natural curiosity while providing structured guidance from trained Montessori educators.

As a mission-driven Montessori school in Grand Rapids, we combine high-quality early learning with a commitment to accessibility, equity, and family partnership. Our goal is to prepare children not only for kindergarten, but for lifelong engagement as capable and empathetic learners.

At Everbloom Montessori, children learn through hands-on exploration within a prepared environment designed for independence and focus. Montessori education places the child at the center of learning, allowing them to move at their own pace while developing responsibility, problem-solving skills, and intrinsic motivation.

Our classrooms are intentionally organized to encourage:

  • independent work and decision-making

  • concentration and sustained attention

  • practical life skills and self-care

  • collaborative learning and respect for others

This structure supports strong academic, emotional, and social foundations long before elementary school begins.
